Superman #15 Splash Art by John Byrne.
Very cool half splash original artwork for Superman Vol. 2 #15 page 11 (DC, 1988) by the super talents of John Byrne (pencils) and Karl Kesel (inks). Darkly spooky scene from the story, "Wings" which features the very first appearance of the wicked winged demon, Skyhook (Aleister Hook) who tries to seduce the young and innocent Jamie sawyer (son of Maggie Sawyer) into his evil twisted web of lies, deceit and corruption. Great images of both players on this page with an incredibly impressive and detailed vertical half splash that reveals the demon's hidden lair of dark woe.
The man of Steel has his hands full with this sinister adversary, for sure! This is a fully fresh piece of art, which has been kept away in a private collection for decades and has not seen the light of day nor been offered on the open market until now. In excellent condition with image size measuring 10 x 15. Signed by finisher Kesel in bottom margin.
